National Gorilla Suit Day comes each and every year on January 31st and is perhaps the important holiday of the year. Every National Gorilla Suit Day, Gorilla suit enthusiasts pay homage to the humorous beast costume by digging out their gorilla suits and going door to door wishing their friends and neighbors Happy Gorilla Suit Day.
There’s not much to it really. There’s no fancy gift giving rituals, elaborate celebrations, symbolic reenactments or national shopping days devoted to the suit. That I’m aware of, no one throws large family feasts in honor of the gorilla suit or hosts gatherings in its name although, I imagine a gorilla suit barbecue in which all the guests arrive dressed in gorilla suits would be smashing. All that’s needed to celebrate National Gorilla Suit day is a gorilla suit and the ability to go door to door.
That’s really all there is to it. You don’t have to buy gifts. You don’t have to fast, although some Orthodox Gorilla Suiters do. A Gorilla Suit Parade sounds like a lot of Pretty Great Fun! Just make sure all the marchers are wearing gorilla suits.

Magic Tricks for Kids
Learn to do Magic!
Kids magic tricks can help children tremendously in building their self-confidence. When getting started there are a few rules to remember when performing them. Here are 10 things a true magician must always remember.
1. Never tell anyone how a trick is done.
2. Practice each trick over and over again until you can do it perfectly without mistake every time.
3. Make absolutely sure all your props are in perfect working order and look good – no scruffy wands or hats.
4. Keep your audience directly in front of you. Don’t let them sit beside or behind you.
5. Don’t repeat a trick in front of the same audience. They are only trying to figure out how the trick works.
6. Don’t tell your audience what you are going to do. It is better to let anticipation and suspense build as you perform your trick. You can however talk to your audience while performing your trick because this will help distract them.
7. Use expressions and gestures to enhance your act. For example, you can frown to show you are concentrating hard, or stand still without speaking to gain your audience’s attention.
8. Once you have learned a trick and can perform it, you can alter it. This can be great fun!
9. Practice and perfect the story you tell while performing each trick – it’s what makes you different from another person who performs the same one.
10. Perform against a dark background under a good light.
Whether you just want to have fun with your kids magic tricks or become a master magician it is very important to know that being able to do this tricks enable you to play with people’s minds. Use it in a positive way.
One of our favorite magic tricks is the Pena Coin trick.
A quarter magically penetrates through a piece of rubber sealing the top of a glass. An empty glass is shown with an opaque sheet of rubber stretched over the top and fastened with a rubber band. On top of the glass, two coins rest. The spectator selects a coin and without any false moves, you push the coin through the rubber sheet. The spectator watches in disbelief as it penetrates the rubber and falls with a loud clink into the glass below! Immediately, you hand everything out for examination. There are no holes in the rubber and no gimmicks or extra coins. You are left clean as a whistle. Based upon a clever principle, you’ll be able to perform this trick just minutes after reading the instructions. Pena-Coin comes with three re-usable rubber sheets. Use your own glass and rubber band. Pena-Coin works with any coins – US, UK, Canadian coins, etc.
I like to have the spectator push the coin thru. Having them do the magic so to speak. They feel it and hear it going thru. And yet when they examine the rubber sheet there is absolutely no holes in it. Great close-up trick.
You can use any house hold glass.

Yes golfing gags have been around forever, but if you haven’t checked lately there are some pretty cool ones now.
